Dr Dave Smith is a Lecturer in Marine and Freshwater Biology at the University of Essex and director of the Coral Reef Research Unit. His other posts include: Director of Marine Research for Operation Wallacea Ltd. Senior Scientific Advisor to the Suez Canal University, Egypt; and Senior Scientific Advisor to the Honduran Coral Reef Foundation (HCRF).

Project Fisheries Scientist

Dr Duncan May is Freelance marine biological consultant who has studied the Fisheries in Wakatobi since 2002. In 2005 he led a pilot fisheries project, developing the links and methodologies on which the Kaledupa Fisheries Project is based. His other projects include marine and freshwater fisheries in UK and International marine mammal surveys.
